People always think of remedies instead of prevention. Same goes with house security. Once experiencing being burglarized only then do they think of installing security system. People who live in apartments always thought they are safe from any form of unauthorized intrusion. We can say that this is the case before but nowadays that is no longer true. Therefore, if you want to protect your apartment from any burglars, installing an apartment security system will do the trick.
Residents of apartment blocks are not aware that their apartment block is still susceptible to robbers, even if they have deadbolts and keypad locks. They actually have a false sense of security because of the aforementioned. In reality, outsiders or non-residents can easily gain access into the apartment block because people come and go all throughout the day. All the intruder has to do is be patient and wait for the right timing. That is wait for someone to leave the premises and simply hold the door before it closes.
One way to prevent intruders from entering the premises is to have security which is clearly visible. It is as if you are creating an illusion that you have a very efficient security system. Once, intruders see the security cameras, they will move on to their next target which is more vulnerable (less secured). Common sense would tell them that this particular apartment block will be a difficult target for them and of course they do not want to get caught red-handed.
Installing an alarm monitoring system is one of the best, if not the best way to protect an apartment block. Apartment owners do not have to do this on their own. They have the responsibility to introduce the idea to the people who are renting. Maybe they can bring this up during one of the building management meetings. The expenses of installing the system can then be divided proportionately amongst the residents.
